New Staff Buildings

Olng'arua School|Emma|January 19, 2016
Measuring up for the new buildings

Thanks to the generosity of Mr and Mrs Levy and the Primrose Trust we have been able to start work on some new staff buildings. In such a remote location it is always difficult to get good teachers. Without housing you can’t get any teachers! There are no local houses to rent and unless you come from a traditional pastoralist family, you are probably going to find the idea of living in a cow dung hut a bit much. So to get teachers we need accommodation. The Primrose Trust understands this and helped us to build our very first teachers house back in 2013. They understand that if we are to grow and develop we need more teachers and those teachers also need a toilets and a washroom. So the first stage of our development work this year is to build a shower and toilet block and another teachers house.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Levy and to every one involved in the Primrose Trust.
