Enjoying the water

Our playing field is still flooded and as they say ‘if you can’t beat it, join it’ so we have been making the most of the water around the school while we can.

On Friday, instead of playing football, the whole school went down to muck about in the river.

There was football, of a sort, though it came to resemble rugby rather than soccer, water made brave tackles and tries the best fun.

The younger kids enjoyed floating down stream in water just deep enough for them.

Teachers, who at first stood seriously on the banks, quickly gave in to temptation, plunging fully clothed into the water and finding their inner child.
