Poems about Plants

Olng'arua School|Emma|June 21, 2019
Who needs a class room?!

I used to think that classrooms were just for those times when you really needed to use tables and chairs, but now I’m not sure you even need them then.

This week the kids took their tables and chairs outside to work on pieces of writing about the environment. We had been reading poems about the natural world and the children were ready to try their hand at some poems of their own. What better way to get inspiration than to immerse themselves in the topic. The result was a series of poems and drawings about plants, some of which I have posted below.
