We watched as water poured down the Ngare Ndare river at last. Thick with mud from floods further upstream the river rose so high that it couldn’t be crossed. There were people and livestock stuck on both banks waiting for the water to subside so that they could cross. It is a relief though, to see water in the river again after so long.
