Hunger

Hunger

It it so sad to see a hungry child set aside half of their own lunch and secretly put it into a bag to take home to their brothers and sisters who have nothing to eat. That is what we have been seeing happen at our school for the last week. Conditions are very bad here, there is still no rain and livestock are now dying daily. People have so little to eat that in some families children go whole days with nothing.

I don’t often ask for help but we really need help now. We only have enough money to feed the children who attend our school, yet their brothers and sisters who don’t are literally going whole days with nothing but the little their siblings at our school bring home for them. The rains were predicted to come weeks ago but still there is no sign of them. We would like to open our school to all the children in our community, so that they can all get at least one meal a day until this crisis is over.

Some of you already help by sending us donations, monthly or whenever you can (thank you lovely people) but now I ask that anybody else, if you can, please send us something, however small, to help us to do this.
